Two New Parks Coming to Dripping Springs: What Residents Can Expect
It's no surprise that Dripping Springs is growing in a way that keeps nature and community close. The city is excited to announce that it has two new Parks coming soon in their, Recreation and Open Space 2026 master plan. This plan guides how the parks and trails will be built and cared for in the years ahead. The plan includes two brand-new parks that residents will enjoy in the next decade.

Arrowhead Ranch Park
One of the newest parks will be Arrowhead Ranch Park. The city already owns the land and is excited to get the project underway. The property sits between the Arrowhead Ranch neighborhood and Dripping Springs Middle School.
Their plan describes this park as a place for nature, learning, and outdoor fun. It will be about 13.9 acres in size, big enough for trails and outdoor classrooms.
City leaders expect the park to take 3 to 10 years to build. Over time, it should become a place where families and students will explore nature together.

Rathgeber Natural Resource Park
The second upcoming park will be Rathgeber Natural Resource Park. This one is much larger, totaling about 299.8 acres of land near the Headwaters subdivision.
Dick Rathgeber and Rathgeber Investment Company gifted this land to the city of Dripping Springs in 2020. The city finished a vision plan for the park in 2024. The plan calls for a nature center and spots for wildlife viewing.
Like Arrowhead Ranch Park, Rathgeber Natural Resource Park is also expected to take 3 to 10 years to develop. Residents will likely see trails, outdoor classrooms, and places to learn about the natural world.

What This Means for Dripping Springs
These parks are part of a bigger effort to protect open space and offer outdoor activities for people of all ages. The Parks, Recreation and Open Space 2026 master plan includes these parks, upgrades to current parks, and new outdoor programs over the next decade.
Dripping Springs will keep its small-town feel, even as it adds places that help families spend time outside, learn about nature, and connect with neighbors.
